Holland B. Ferguson

Holland B. Ferguson is an attorney at the Charlotte, North Carolina, law firm of Oxner + Permar, PLLC. She focuses her practice area exclusively on workers’ compensation law and helps her clients obtain the benefits they deserve when they have been harmed due to injuries caused by accidents, occupational illnesses or any other form of catastrophic injury that occurred at the workplace. 

Ms. Ferguson is also board-certified as a specialist in workers’ compensation law, certified by the North Carolina State Bar. Before advocating for the rights of claimants, she started her career working with insurance companies and employers. This gives her a strategic advantage as she is knowledgeable of how the other side handles these kinds of cases. Practicing law for more than 15 years, she uses her vast knowledge and experience for the benefit of her clients. 

Ms. Ferguson graduated with dean’s list honors from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy in 2002. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. During her time in law school, she was the associate editor of the Interamerican Law Review.

Licensed to practice in North Carolina since 2005, Ms. Ferguson has been admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. She has also appeared before the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar. Additionally, she serves as the co-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section Council.
