Originating from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, he demonstrated academic excellence by graduating from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, completing a four-year program in just three years. After a brief period in construction and roofing, he pursued a legal career, enrolling at the American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C., where he graduated with honors.

In 1993, Mr. Taylor began his legal career in Charlotte and co-founded a new firm in 1996. By April 2005, he had established The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, P.C., now Taylor | Serbin Injury Lawyers. His extensive licensure includes all state courts in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, as well as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Taylor's dedication to the legal field is evident through his three terms as vice president of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, where he has also served on the board of governors and executive committee. He actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Association for Justice, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Motorcycle Injury Trial Lawyers Association and the Catawba and Mecklenburg Bar Association.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Taylor has shared his knowledge by teaching numerous continuing legal education classes and authoring “Trying the Motorcycle Accident Case,” published in the October 2013 issue of Trial Briefs. He has also contributed to the legal community by serving as a judge and coach in mock trial competitions for high school students, as well as being a regional coordinator for the annual event, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals.
