Leigh B. Sellers

Focusing her practice exclusively on family law matters, Leigh B. Sellers is the founder of Touchstone Family Law. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina she has been certified as a specialist in family law by the Board of Legal Specialization of the North Carolina State Bar. Ms. Sellers is admitted to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

A child of divorcing parents, Ms. Sellers devotes a large part of her practice to the representation of clients whose marriages are ending and who are needing to deal with such issues as property division, child custody and visitation, and alimony and child support. Her training in both mediation and collaborative law allows her to help them reach an accord on these matters through the use of those alternative dispute resolution methods, but her extensive courtroom experience comes to good use when and if she needs to be an advocate for her clients in front of a judge or arbitrator.

In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Sellers has prepared and reviewed prenuptial and separation agreements, and her experience also encompasses the representation of domestic violence victims who are petitioning the court for protective orders as well as clients who have already had their marriage dissolved and who are seeking to enforce or modify existing parenting and support orders.
