Liz Vennum is a partner with Hull & Chandler, P.A. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree and Wake Forest University Law School. A dynamic litigator with solid transactional experience, Liz creates legal solutions for startups, founders, and growing businesses and navigates complex, multi-party business contract conflicts, trade secret disputes, restrictive covenants, and similar civil matters in state and federal cases on behalf of her clients.
Prior to joining Hull & Chandler, Liz founded and ran her own law firm, Vennum Law. In September 2021, the Vennum Law team became a part of Hull and Chandler. Prior to founding her own firm, Liz practiced as an associate at a Charlotte-based law firm. Her prior legal experience also includes serving as a legal outreach coordinator for the Campaign for Southern Equality, clerking for a private attorney’s office and interning for the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office.
Outside of litigation, Liz enjoys staying active in her legal community. She served on the education committee of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. As part of this role, she assisted in planning the association’s annual conference, also serving as speaker coordinator and sponsor coordinator. In 2019, Liz was honored to join the Mecklenburg County Bar's Bar Leadership Institute. She also belongs to Women Entrepreneurs of South Charlotte and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
