Margaret Shankle

Attorney Margaret "Maggie" E. Shankle is the founder and owner of the Shankle Law Firm, PA., in Charlotte, North Carolina. Board certified as a specialist in workers' compensation law by the North Carolina State Bar and possessing more than 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Shankle represents the rights and interests of clients throughout the greater Charlotte metro region and surrounding areas, as well as all over North Carolina, who have legal needs involving Workers' Compensation, Spinal Cord Injuries, Amputations, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Catastrophic Injuries, and other types of civil litigation.

A lawyer since 1999, Ms. Shankle established her law firm in 2008 with a mission to deliver the highest level of compassionate advocacy and support possible to injured and disabled workers and their families. The daughter of self-employed small business owners, Ms. Shankle saw firsthand how an injury can adversely affect those with no other means of income or support. This resulted in her devoting her professional career to ensuring her clients receive the full amount of benefits they deserve when they can no longer work.

A 1995 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Shankle obtained her Juris Doctor from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1999. She is admitted to practice before all state and U.S. District courts in North Carolina as well as before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the North Carolina Full Commission, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina District and Superior Court and the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.

Highly active in her legal community, Ms. Shankle is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, as well as the American Association for Justice and the Mecklenburg County Bar, among her other professional affiliations.
