Ms. Viera pursued her undergraduate studies at The George Washington University, and during her time there, she was a member of the Ballroom Dance Society and the Roosevelt Institution. After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs and political science in 2008, she went on to attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
At law school, Ms. Viera was an active participant in many student organizations, including the International and Comparative Law organization (vice president) and the International Law Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team (Executive Member). She also studied abroad in Tanzania and Egypt, expanding her worldview and giving her immense exposure to many cultures and traditions. She received her Juris Doctor in 2012, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in North Carolina.
Within her legal community, Ms. Viera maintains close affiliations with many prominent organizations such as the 26th Judicial District Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Charlotte Area Chamber of Commerce, the North Carolina State Bar, and the American Bar Association. Alongside her team, they also conduct various projects with local nonprofit organization including Safe Alliance, Pat's Place, Playing for Others, Sanctuary Counseling, Kiran, and The Relatives.
