William R. Elam

William R. Elam is an attorney at Elam & Rousseaux, PLLC, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Elam practices medical malpractice and personal injury law and serves clients throughout the Charlotte metropolitan region. He has experience with a wide range of cases involving automobile accidents, bicycle accidents, drunk driving accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, trucking accidents, wrongful death and other types of catastrophic or fatal accidents.

The son of the firm’s founder, William H. Elam, Mr. Elam grew up in the Charlotte area. He spent a great deal of his childhood watching his father litigating personal injury cases, which increased his own desire to become an attorney. He attended college at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with distinction and honors in history with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science.

Following undergraduate school, Mr. Elam attended and received his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He became a licensed attorney in 2006 and has more than 10 years of experience representing North Carolina residents who are the victims of medical malpractice or an injury caused by negligence. Possessing an abundance of knowledge and experience, he has recovered significant settlements and verdicts for his clients over the course of his career.

Mr. Elam is admitted to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and handles matters in both states. In addition to running his personal injury practice, he is active in his legal community and belongs to the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
