Attorney Susan W. Matthews is the founder of Susan Williams Matthews, PLLC, in Conover, North Carolina, and practices with David L. A 2005 magna cum laude graduate of Furman University, Ms. Matthews attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor with honors in 2008. While in law school, she served as publications editor for the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal, and she earned the Eugene Gressman & Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award in 2006.

Highly active in her legal community, Ms. Matthews has served in a number of leadership roles with the Catawba County Bar Association, including being the organization's past president. She also supports her local community through her involvement with the United Arts Council of Catawba County and the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce.

Along with practicing before all North Carolina state courts, she is admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in the state as well as before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
