Lisa Lanier

Attorney Lisa Lanier is a president and CEO of Lanier Law Group, P.A., which has 11 office locations across North Carolina. Nationally recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in the country, Ms. Lanier provides unmatched advocacy and support to clients throughout the state who have suffered injuries or loss as a result of someone else's negligence or wrongdoing.

An attorney since 1992, Ms. Lanier began her legal career working as an insurance defense attorney, so she has invaluable insight into the industry and the tactics insurance providers use to reduce or deny claims. Armed with this knowledge, she is able to devise more effective strategies for those suffering through no fault of their own, and she has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for her plaintiff injury clients and their families.

A leader in her field, Ms. Lanier is an officer with the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. She also regularly appears on various radio and television programs, where she offers in-depth commentary on a variety of legal topics. In addition, she routinely conducts lectures on journalism law at Wake Forest University School of Law. Among her other professional affiliations, she is a member of the American Association for Justice, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the America Bar Association and the North Carolina State Bar.

A 1989 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Lanier returned to her alma mater and obtained her Juris Doctor from University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992. Outside her legal practice, Ms. Lanier passionately volunteers to help the homeless and veterans across North Carolina.
