Ben Burnside

Ben Burnside provides knowledgeable legal counsel at Deuterman Law Group located in Greensboro, North Carolina. With over 15 years of experience practicing law, he focuses his practice solely on Social Security Disability and VA benefits issues. 

Mr. Burnside is a passionate and tenacious litigator for his clients’ rights and liberties. He provides zealous and dedicated advocacy with a firm commitment to the needs of his clients. Compassionate and empathetic, Mr. Burnside fights aggressively for his clients ensuring they get the help they are entitled to and particularly for those who have been previously denied benefits. 

Graduated magna cum laude, Mr. Burnside has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. With honors, he earned his Juris Doctor from the UNC School of Law. While in law school, he interned with a prominent judge at the U.S. Middle District Court and also at Deuterman Law Group. 

Mr. Burnside is a board-certified specialist in Social Security Disability law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, Mr. Burnside has a VA certification, which enables him to represent veterans with their disability benefits claims. 

Actively affiliated with legal associations, Mr. Burnside is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice’s Disability Advocacy Section, and serves as the co-chair of its continuing legal education committee. He is also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Greensboro Bar Association. 

Honored for his exemplary work representing his injured and physically disabled clients, Mr. Burnside was named to the North Carolina’s Outstanding Young Lawyers list. He also has a “Superb” rating on Avvo. Mr. Burnside is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for successfully obtaining million-dollar and multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.
