Ken Kyre has been a civil litigation attorney since 1979. For two years following his graduation from the Wake Forest University School of law in 1977 he was law clerk for a United States District Judge. He handles almost exclusively cases defending individuals and companies. Over his over 45 years as a trial attorney, he has often been involved in large and complex cases, including products liability, although he does not limit his practice to such cases, and he has been involved in a wide range of cases covering a myriad of subject matters. He practices in both state and federal courts in North Carolina, and in addition to being a civil litigator, he is a North Carolina certified mediator. He is a past President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the statewide organization composed mainly of civil litigation attorneys. Since 2019, he has been an Assistant Editor of the single-volume treatise that is now New Appleman North Carolina Insurance Law.
