Michael C. Harman is the managing attorney at Harman Law in Huntersville, North Carolina. Mr. Harman focuses his practice on personal injury law, serving clients throughout the Charlotte, North Carolina, metropolitan area. He handles cases involving car accidents, workers’ compensation, general negligence and employment law.
Mr. Harman has litigation experience in both state and federal courts. He is familiar with all aspects of the civil litigation process, including depositions, motion practice and negotiation. In addition to litigation, he applies alternative dispute resolution methods in his practice, with the aim of resolving cases in a no adversarial manner.
Mr. Harman graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in history. He earned his law degree from Charlotte School of Law in 2011. He is licensed to practice law before all North Carolina state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Western and Eastern districts of North Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
Prior to founding Harman Law, Mr. Harman practiced employment and personal injury law at private firms, where he worked as an associate attorney and senior associate attorney. While in these roles, he developed his trial skills and experience and managed a high caseload. While attending law school, he clerked for another Charlotte-based law firm and interned at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy.
Active in his legal community, Mr. Harman belongs to several professional organizations. He is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar and chair of the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation Development Committee. He provides pro bono services through his local legal aid office and volunteers with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. As well, Harman Law proudly supports Claire's Army, a local non-profit dedicated to helping families navigate the challenges of childhood cancer.
