Ms. Makey's journey led her to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she cultivated her passion for law, earning a B.A. in political science and communication studies in 2019. Before embarking on her legal studies, she dedicated a year to her family's landscaping business, gaining invaluable insights into the importance of hard work and dedication.

Driven by a desire to serve others, Ms. Makey pursued her legal education at Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. There, she honed her skills as a member of Campbell's Client Counseling team and Mock Trial team, while also serving as a class representative and committee chair of the Student Bar Association. In 2023, she proudly graduated and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar, ready to embark on her mission to make a difference in the lives of families.
