Licensed to practice in North Carolina, Ms. Stepp has been in the legal profession since 1993. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from George Mason University, Virginia in 1990. She received her legal education at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she was a member of the university’s National Trial Team and inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.
Soon after graduation, Ms. Stepp joined the practice as an associate attorney at a general practice firm in Hendersonville. After moving to Union County, she gained valuable experience as a prosecutor for the 20th Judicial District for four years. Eventually, she started her law firm in Monroe, focusing her practice on family law.
Ms. Stepp is a board-certified specialist in family law, certified by the North Carolina Bar Association, and is a certified family financial mediator as well. She holds memberships in the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section, the Union County Bar Association and the Local Rules of Court Committee.
