Ania DeJoy is an associate attorney at Polk Law. Ania focuses her practice on federal criminal defense. Ania has handled matters involving drug trafficking, firearms offenses, sex offenses, child pornography, violent crimes, robberies, money laundering, and other crimes.
Before joining Polk Law, Ania served as a federal law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Robert T. Numbers, II, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. In that position, Ania assisted the Court in a wide range of federal criminal and civil litigation matters.
While earning her law degree from Duke University School of Law, Ania spent two years as a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of North Carolina. Ania also served as a judicial intern to Chief Justice Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Ania graduated from Duke University with a double-major in Music and Russian.
