John N. Hutson, Jr.

John N. Hutson Jr. is an estate and business litigation attorney at the law firm of Young Moore and Henderson, P.A., in Raleigh, North Carolina. He serves clients in and around the surrounding regions with various legal matters, including estate and trust litigation and commercial litigation.

A compassionate and dedicated attorney, Mr. Hutson handles negotiations as amicably as possible, and he is an aggressive litigator in the courtroom. He guides his clients through estate and probate issues and guardianship matters and makes the legal process less stressful for them. He also effectively negotiates contracts and business disputes arising between partners, with the client’s best interests in mind. His courtroom presence and legal acumen help resolve each case in an effective manner.

Licensed to practice in North Carolina since 1981, Mr. Hutson earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law the same year. Prior to this, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977. He is now admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the Federal Courts in the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. 

Mr. Hutson is a member of the Estate Planning Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, and he serves as a speaker at several Continuing Legal Education programs. He has also contributed to several works published by the North Carolina Bar Association, the ACTEC Journal and Lexis Nexis Publishing.
