Jonathan M. Jerkins

Jonathan M. Jerkins is the managing attorney at the law firm Jerkins Family Law located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Focusing his practice exclusively on family law matters, he represents clients with child custody, alimony, child support, divorce and separation, and domestic violence issues, to name a few. 

With over seven years of experience in the legal field, Mr. Jerkins is licensed to practice in North Carolina. He also is board-certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a family law specialist. He is well known for his compassionate and kind demeanor when working on any case. He understands the sensitive nature of family law matters, pursues the best interests of his clients and serves as a tireless advocate for them.

With a bachelor’s degree cum laude in psychology and sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mr. Jerkins was a member of the Student Government Association and was inducted into the Order of Omega Honor Society. He attended the North Carolina Central University School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 2014. 

While in law school, Mr. Jerkins was a part of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competitions, the Juvenile Justice Clinic and the Dispute Resolution Institute Christian Legal Society. After law school, he served as an assistant district attorney at the Durham County District Attorney's Office. 

Mr. Jerkins’ memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section, the Wake County Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee, the North Carolina Bar Association’s Children’s Issues Committee, the American Bar Association and the Capital City Lawyers Association.
