Matthew W. Buckmiller

Matthew W. Buckmiller is an attorney with Buckmiller, Boyette & Frost, PLLC, and represents clients in the state of North Carolina, with a focus on the Raleigh metropolitan area. With years of litigation experience in both federal and state courts, he manages cases involving consumer protection, white collar crimes, wrongful death, intellectual property law, litigation and appeals, business and commercial law, non-bankruptcy restructuring and workouts, and medical malpractice.

Admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina, Mr. Buckmiller is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He is a Legal Elite named by Business North Carolina Magazine and a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.

In 2002, Mr. Buckmiller graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts before attending law school. At Temple University Beasley School of Law, he graduated magna cum laude and earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor. For a good portion of his career, he negotiated workouts of commercial debts and prosecuted lender liability claims.

He is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. Within the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, he is the former president of the Commercial Litigation Section and the Professional Malpractice Section.
