Richard B. Harper

Attorney Richard B. Harper is the founder and principal at The Harper Law Firm, PLLC, in Sylva, North Carolina. Serving injured and disabled workers throughout Jackson County and the surrounding areas of Western North Carolina, Mr. Harper devotes his practice to helping his clients obtain their rightful workers' compensation benefits.

In addition, he also represents clients who have valid third-party injury claims following an accident in their workplaces, as well as those with serious personal injury claims arising from someone else's negligence or wrongdoing, including car, truck and motorcycle accidents, accidents that occurred on someone else's property, and other preventable tragedies.

Certified by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization in workers' compensation and possessing more than 37 years of legal experience, Mr. Harper has achieved unprecedented success helping his clients obtain the finances they need to support themselves and their families and to cover the costs of their medical and rehabilitation costs and other associated expenses. A 1975 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mr. Harper attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1981. The North Carolina State Bar admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
