Ruth Sheehan

Throughout her nearly decade-long career, she has successfully represented victims in various personal injury claims, including those involving maritime and construction accidents, car, bike and truck collisions, Social Security Disability, defective products, sexual abuse, premises liability, medical malpractice, construction accidents and natural disasters.

At Rhine Law Firm, P.C., Ms. Sheehan has been an integral part of class actions regarding defective elevators and data breaches. She has also helped military families compelled to live in inadequate accommodation on base. Moreover, she has been an unrelenting advocate for clients in sexual harassment lawsuits and has assisted people whose land has been condemned for public highways and other developments.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in journalism and history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987, Ms. Sheehan gave a platform to the voiceless as a reporter and metro columnist for Raleigh's The News & Observer for several years. She decided to use this experience for those in need and completed her legal education in 2010 at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Ms. Sheehan is a former member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. She is also a part of the Wake County Bar Association, the Helen Wright Women’s Shelter and the North Carolina Health News, a nonprofit health news organization that helps the low-income residents of North Carolina.
