Anna Kalarites

Anna Kalarites is an associate at the Law Offices of David Pishko. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she divides her practice between employment law matters and personal injury and wrongful death litigation, providing representation to clients throughout the state. Ms. Kalarites has been admitted to practice in North Carolina since 2014.

In her employment law practice, Ms. Kalarites furnishes advice and counsel to employees who have been victims of discrimination that is prohibited by state and federal laws. Her experience in this regard has included cases governed by the North Carolina Equal Employment Practices Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Ms. Kalarites has also represented victims of workplace sexual harassment, and her employment law client base has included people who have been wrongfully terminated or who have been unlawfully retaliated against solely on the basis of their filing of a claim for benefits under their employers' workers' compensation insurance coverage.

Ms. Kalarites also represents people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other parties. She has worked on cases grounded on misdiagnoses, surgical errors and other forms of medical malpractice, and her experience has also included nursing home neglect. Ms. Kalarites has been able to obtain significant compensation for her clients, through both jury awards and settlements that she has negotiated outside of court with defendants and their insurance companies.

Ms. Kalarites attended Duke University as an undergraduate, where she majored in history and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. After working for several years with the American Association for Justice, she enrolled at the University of Baltimore School of Law, and in 2014, she was awarded her Juris Doctor.
