Brendan Garcia

Attorney Brendan B. Garcia is the founder and owner of VetLaw in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A VA-accredited attorney by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Garcia represents veterans throughout the country who need assistance securing their rightful veterans disability benefits. 

As a veteran himself, having served on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003, Mr. Garcia fully understands the unique struggles and challenges former service members can face as they try to receive the help they so desperately need. Throughout his career, he has assisted numerous clients with their appeals of denied claims at all levels of the process, and he has helped so many across the nation to obtain the full amount of benefits they need to support themselves and their families.

Prior to establishing his own private practice, Mr. Garcia worked as a Presidential Management Fellow and an attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C.  In this position, he worked in the administration's Office of General Counsel, Office of Business and Process Integration and Compensation Service.  He has extensive experience handling appeals before Regional Offices, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

A 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, Mr. Garcia obtained his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in 2011. He is an active member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates, the American Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. He was also selected as a Presidential Management Fellow for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2011.
