David Pishko

David Pishko focuses his practice primarily on medical malpractice, legal malpractice and personal injury litigation, and he has significant employment law experience as well. From the firm's office in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he provides representation to clients across the state. Mr. Pishko has been admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts since 1977.

Mr. Pishko's personal injury client base is comprised of people who have been harmed by the negligence or recklessness of other parties. The types of cases that he has handled have arisen out of incidents involving medical malpractice, nursing home neglect and abuse, and automobile collisions.  Mr. Pishko has been able to obtain significant compensation for his plaintiff clients through both jury verdicts and settlements that he has negotiated out of court with defendants and their insurance carriers.

In his employment law practice, Mr. Pishko represents employees who have been the victims of discrimination that is prohibited by state and federal laws. His experience has also included wrongful termination, workplace retaliation, wage and hour violations, and sexual harassment claims. Mr. Pishko's successful track record and high degree of ethics have earned him a great deal of recognition from his fellow attorneys, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, he has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America.

A New York native, Mr. Pishko attended Duke University, where he majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. After serving in the U.S. Army, he returned to Durham to obtain his legal education at Duke University School of Law, and he was an editor of the Duke Law Journal before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1977.
