Jim Simon is Partner with the law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC. Jim represents business, government and tax-exempt clients in a variety of matters including real estate and business acquisitions, leasing matters, financing matters, public and low-income housing finance transactions, multiparty negotiations, zoning and compliance matters and forming for-profit and tax-exempt entities. Jim began his career as an attorney with Buckingham in 2000. From 2003 - 2006, Jim was the Director of Administration for the Summit County Engineer, overseeing the Engineer's finance, human resources, IT and audit compliance functions. Jim returned to Buckingham in January 2007. Jim received his BA in American Studies from Bennington College in Bennington, VT and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law. Jim serves as a member of the following non-profit boards: Bennington College and ideastream. Jim chairs the Finance Committee of Bennington College's Board of Trustees. Jim is a resident of West Akron and has lived all of his life in the Akron area, other than his college years spent in Southwestern Vermont.
