Completing her bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Akron, Ms. Wickham continued at the University’s School of Law to pursue her legal education. While at law school, she served as president of the mock trial team, finishing second at the Nationals of the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. Simultaneously, she pursued her master of business administration, receiving her master’s and her Juris Doctor in 2018. In the same year, she was admitted to practice law in Ohio.
Within her first six months of being licensed, Ms. Wickham was part of the trial team that led the six-week-long jury trial Gibson Bros., Inc., et al. v. Oberlin College, et al. in Lorain County. The legal counsel won a total verdict of $44.29 million and $6.56 million in attorney’s fees and expenses, securing a substantial recovery for the plaintiffs. This initial experience significantly influenced her approach to prioritizing client needs in her practice.
