Jeffrey is experienced in all aspects of reorganization practice, having represented debtors, creditors’ committees, panel trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, agented bank groups, individual banks, debtor in possession lenders, purchasers, and investment banks in workouts, restructurings, recapitalizations, bankruptcies and structuring of mergers and acquisitions of distressed assets in and out of bankruptcy.
Jeffrey has received an AV® peer review rating indicating a Very High to Preeminent Legal Ability rating and a Very High General Ethical Standards rating. He has co-chaired the Cleveland Bar Association’s Wm. J. O’Neill Bankruptcy Institute and was a member of the Special Legislative Committee of the Cleveland Bar Association Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section. In addition, Jeffrey is a graduate of the Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Workshop.
With more than 30 years of experience, Jeffrey has worked on restructurings in a number of different industries, including manufacturing, retail, insurance, transportation, internet, real estate, mining, lodging and sports and entertainment. Jeffrey is the past chair of the Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and was the Vice-President and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Restoration Society. He was designated by Turnaround & Workouts as one of the twelve outstanding young bankruptcy lawyers nationally and has been recognized year after year by his peers as an Ohio Super Lawyer.
