Chad G. Koop

Partner at Stagnaro Hannigan Koop Co., LPA, Chad G. Koop represents clients in Ohio in matters of family law, including divorce, dissolution, collaborative divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, maintenance, post-decree modifications and enforcement, juvenile court matters, mediation and parental coordinating. While he is an experienced, successful trial lawyer, he also works with clients to find solutions to their problems before they are forced into the courtroom.

After earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, Mr. Koop is now licensed to practice in Kentucky and Ohio, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. With over 70 hours of mediation training and more than half of that focused on specialized family/divorce mediation, he is prepared to offer mediation to his clients.

Mr. Koop has been named one of the Top 40 Under 40 family lawyers in Ohio by the American Society of Legal Advocates. A member of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Mr. Koop is confident he can help all his clients meet their goals and needs through mediation or a trial.

From 2007-2008, Mr. Koop was involved with the conflict mediation program for Dayton Public Schools, and now shows his passion for the community with his work at the Clermont County Family Law Clinic and the Hamilton County Family Law Clinic. He does not shy away from challenging, high-conflict, complex situations, but rather tackles them head-on to protect his clients.
