David W. Burleigh

Attorney David W. Burleigh represents clients with Buechner Haffer Meyers & Koenig Co., LPA, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based law firm. His practice encompasses closely held business matters, estate planning and probate, business litigation, estate and trust litigation, and family law. Through this broad range of practice areas, he advises individuals, families and businesses on legal matters involving business interests, estate administration and disputes.

Mr. Burleigh handles matters involving closely held businesses and provides legal counsel concerning issues that can affect family-owned and privately held enterprises. His practice also includes estate planning and probate, as well as litigation involving estates and trusts. In addition, he represents clients in business litigation and family law matters, addressing the legal needs of clients facing complex or sensitive disputes.

Mr. Burleigh earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Dallas and a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University. His educational background has provided him with preparation across legal, business and related disciplines, supporting his work with individuals, families and closely held enterprises.

Admitted to practice in Ohio in 1995 and Kentucky in 1996, Mr. Burleigh is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. His federal appellate admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd and 6th Circuits.

Mr. Burleigh earned an advanced certificate in family enterprise advising from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2012. He serves as a trustee and vice president of Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises. His community involvement has also included serving as a trustee of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation in Cincinnati and chair of the Village of Indian Hill Green Areas Advisory Committee. He is also a director of the Dominican Foundation in New York City.
