Edward C. Ahlers is a partner with the Ohio law firm of Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1982, Mr. Ahlers served as a clerk for two years in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Mr. Ahlers then worked for the Legal Aid Society of Cincinnati for two years and then entered private practice in 1986. Since joining his current law firm in 1988, he has focused his practice on representing individuals with Social Security disability claims, short and long-term disability insurance claims, Ohio workers' compensation claims and Ohio personal injury claims.

Mr. Ahlers was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1982. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and has handled cases in both of these courts.
Mr. Ahlers has a 30 plus year history of successfully representing claimants at administrative hearings before both the Social Security Administration and the Ohio Insustrial Commission. He has also successfully pursued denial of benefit claims in both state and federal court, and has obtained favorable rulings for his clients in the Ohio Supreme Court and in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
As a legal professional, Mr. Ahlers holds active memberships in several professional associations, including the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Southwestern Ohio Trial Lawyers Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association where he is a past Chairman of their Social Security Committee.
