Melanie S. Bailey

Melanie S. Bailey is a shareholder at the law firm of Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C., located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dedicated to her clients’ best interests, she focuses her practice on personal injury matters, including pharmaceutical and general product liability, wrongful death, class action litigation, multidistrict litigation and complex civil litigation.

With a bachelor’s degree in political science, Ms. Bailey graduated cum laude from the Northern Kentucky University. She continued her legal studies at the Northern Kentucky University – Salmon P. Chase College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor cum laude in 1996. In 2003, she was licensed to practice law in Ohio.

In addition to Ohio, Ms. Bailey is authorized to practice law in Kentucky (1997) and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Active in her affiliations with the legal community, Ms. Bailey holds memberships in the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. In 2022, she was a champion member of the Leaders Forum of the American Association for Justice.  

Ms. Bailey is frequently called upon to provide lectures at prominent legal associations, including the Cincinnati Bar Association, where she spoke about tips, tricks and pitfalls of mass torts. She serves as a tenacious and fierce defender of her clients’ rights and liberties, when they have been victims of injuries because of another party’s careless and ignorant actions.
