Christian R. Patno

Attorney Christian R. Patno is consistently ranked by his peers within the Top 2 of all Super Lawyers in Ohio. He is an experienced and respected trial attorney with more than 30 years of trial experience in catastrophic personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death claims and other complex matters. Over the course of his career, he has fought for clients and obtained numerous notable jury verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million with his largest jury verdict being $39 million. A principal at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA, Mr. Patno represents clients in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as on national and international levels. Mr. Patno is the Past-President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, President-Elect of the Ohio Association for Justice, and an officer in the Ohio Chapter of the American Board of Trial Attorneys. 

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Mr. Patno is admitted to practice in Ohio state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court. He is board-certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification and serves as a lawyer mentor for the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Mr. Patno is a firm believer in the verse, “to whom much is given, much will be required”. Throughout his career, Mr. Patno has received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding work. He was inducted into the International Society of Barristers in 2019 and the American Board of Trial Attorneys in 2020, which comprise the peer-recognized best trial lawyers. He has also repeatedly been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America®. He is on the Board and Executive Committee’s of the William K Thomas Inn of Court and the Ohio Association for Justice. He is rated AV Preeminent* by the peer-review service Martindale-Hubbell and was named by Inside Business Magazine to its list of leading lawyers in Northeast Ohio.
