Gregory Robey

Gregory S. Robey is the founder of his eponymous law firm, where he focuses his practice exclusively on criminal defense matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, he represents clients throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice before all Ohio state courts since 1991, Mr. Robey is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

In his practice, Mr. Robey represents area residents who have been accused by the state or federal government with having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. The types of cases that he has handled have included drug possession and trafficking, rape and other forms of sexual abuse and assault, homicide, domestic violence, theft, arson, fraud and other white collar crimes, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Mr. Robey has been able to obtain positive courtroom results for his clients, including dismissals, acquittals, and successful appeals. In other cases, he has negotiated favorable plea agreements with the prosecution. His successful track record has led to him being named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100.

During his career, Mr. Robey has been a participant in numerous professional organizations. His memberships have included the Ohio Association for Justice, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Cuyahoga County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Mr. Robey was a member of Wittenberg University's varsity football team before receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1988. His legal education was obtained at the University of Richmond School of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor with honors in 1991.
