James P. Martello

A partner at the law firm of LaMonica Coleman And Martello in Cleveland, Ohio, attorney James P. Martello has spent the past 46-plus years advocating vigorously for the rights of injured workers and victims of other accidents. He focuses his practice on workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, personal injury and medical malpractice.

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton in 1971, Mr. Martello obtained his Juris Doctor from Cleveland–Marshall College of Law in 1974. He earned his license to practice law in Ohio the same year and is authorized to appear before all the state, federal and appellate courts of Ohio.

Mr. Martello has represented injured workers and families that faced death or catastrophic injuries including cancer, heart attack and stroke, repetitive stress injuries, brain and spine damage, burn injuries, COVID-19, eye injuries, and hand and leg amputations. He has efficiently advocated for their rights before the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, the U.S. Social Security Administration, the Ohio Industrial Commission and the Ohio Courts of Common Pleas.

Involved in his legal community, Mr. Martello is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives, the Lake County Bar Association, the American College of Trial Lawyers, the Akron Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.
