Ms. Lowder focuses her practice on the legal rights of the elderly and of children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Janet is a recognized authority on elder law, special needs estate planning, Medicaid, and other public benefits issues. She is a co-founder of and counsel to the Community Fund Management Foundation, a non-profit organization that administers the Master Trust and Pooled Trust for individuals with disabilities, and received the Foundation's 1999 Amicus Award. Janet is Co-chair of the Long Term Care, Medicaid, and Special Needs Trusts Committee of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association and recently completed two terms as Chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Elder Law Committee.  She is also past President of the Special Needs Alliance, is a member of NAELA, and has been designated a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation.
