Madelyn Grant

Madelyn Grant is partner at the law firm Friedman Nemecek Long & Grant, L.L.C., in Cleveland, Ohio. She is licensed to practice in Ohio and focuses her practice on complex criminal defense cases, with a particular focus on cybercrimes and white collar matters. She also takes on cases involving allegations of sexual assault and child pornography. 

Ms. Grant is passionate about defending the rights of those who have been accused of wrongdoing. She is well-aware of the negative consequences of criminal defense matters and serves as a zealous advocate for their rights. She also has immense experience creating useful approaches for stings initiated by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. 

With a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Ms. Grant graduated from The Ohio State University. She went on to study law at the Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 2018. While in law school, she served as a law clerk at the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office and later as a legal intern for a renowned judge at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. 

Ms. Grant also served on the Cleveland-Marshall Moot Court team and participated in and won many competitions during law school. She currently coaches the Cleveland-Marshall Moot Court team, helping students to prepare for the competitions. 

In addition to her law practice, Ms. Grant teaches cybercrime at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law as an adjunct professor. She is active in the legal community and serves as a board member at the Cuyahoga County Defense Lawyers Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
