In 2025, Mr. Dann achieved a landmark appellate court victory that restored nearly $900 million in pandemic unemployment benefits to approximately 330,000 Ohioans. The decision followed the state’s unlawful termination of the program and represented a significant recovery for Ohio residents who had been deprived of critical financial assistance. The result further demonstrated Mr. Dann’s ability to handle complex, high-stakes litigation with consequences extending well beyond individual clients.
Mr. Dann’s professional involvement includes membership in the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is also a member of the Society of Attorneys General Emeritus and the Democratic Attorneys General Association.
Mr. Dann earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 1987 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
