    Attorney Profile

Michael A. Hill is owner and founder of Eadie Hill Trial Lawyers. Michael is an award winning attorney with multiple 7-figure verdicts and settlements who focuses his practice on abuse, neglect, and negligence in nursing homes. Michael is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Pennsylvania but also handles cases throughout the United States.

Michael has accomplished nearly unprecedented results in his field and has been recognized by his peers for these accomplishments. The National Trial Lawyers-the preeminent association of trial attorneys-included him in its “Top 40 Under 40,” “Top 10 Nursing Home Lawyers,” and “Top 25 Medical Malpractice Lawyers.” He has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been recognized as a "Lawyer of Distinction" and as one of "America's Most Honored Professionals."

Michael is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers, and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, among others. Michael lectures throughout the country teaching other lawyers about trial practice and procedure. He has published numerous articles on trial practice and procedure, including jury selection.

Michael is a trial lawyer by nature who gets a thrill out of helping people who otherwise would not have a voice in holding medical corporations responsible when they decide to put profits over safety. Michael sues nursing home and other medical corporations. Except for extraordinary circumstances, he does not sue nurses, aides, or other caregivers. Rarely does he find that they are responsible for the neglect and abuse that occurs. The negligence and abuse that occurs at nursing homes is almost universally the result of decisions made at the corporate level.

The single greatest cost that nursing homes have is the cost of payroll for their staff. The easiest and quickest way for a nursing home to profit is by cutting payroll and understaffing the facility. The patients suffer from these choices. Caregivers often do too. They are overworked, overwhelmed, and underpaid.

Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Michael earned a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and Conservatory. He received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

The words he lives by are "always be kind and never be afraid."
