Attorney C. Gustav Dahlberg is a partner with the law firm of Babbitt & Dahlberg Law, LLC, located in Columbus, Ohio. Serving clients throughout Franklin County and the rest of the state, Mr. Dahlberg concentrates his practice exclusively on family law. He is a certified family relations law specialist with the Ohio State Bar Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Throughout his more than 20 years practicing law, he has represented the rights and best interests of hundreds of clients with their issues involving divorce, child custody and support, property division, alimony, and other domestic relations matters. Regarded as one of the top family law attorneys in the region, he has received a number of awards and honors for his high ethical standards and impeccable customer service, and U.S. News & World Report L.P. named his practice among the Best Law Firms for Family Law in 2017.
In 1998, Mr. Dahlberg received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Ohio University, where he graduated as a member of the honors tutorial college. He then attended The Ohio State University | Michael E. Moritz College of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Dahlberg served as co-online editor and managing board member for the Ohio State Law Journal. He was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2001.
Dedicated to educating other legal professionals and law students, Mr. Dahlberg routinely conducts lectures, classes and seminars across the country on a variety of topics related to property and asset division, financial settlements, and other family law issues.
A consummate professional, he is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and Ohio Bar Association Family Law Committees. He is presently serving as co-chair for the American Bar Association Family Law Section's CLE Committee, has served as the chair of the Section's Marital Property Committee and Law Practice Management & Technology Committee, and has been a member of the Section's Sponsorship Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He is a past member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice and a fellow with the Columbus Bar Foundation.
Active in his local community, he volunteers with the Columbus City Schools and has served as past board member and board chair for the Clintonville Go Public organization.
