Attorney Profile

Attorney C. Raphael Davis-Williams is a co-founder of The Law Office of Spater & Davis-Williams, LLC, in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Davis-Williams dedicates his practice to civil rights issues, litigating cases throughout the state of Ohio involving disability discrimination, employment, housing and more civil rights matters.

A Texas native and former television news reporter, Mr. Davis-Williams graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas. He earned his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and is admitted to practice in the state courts of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Mr. Davis-Williams has litigated several significant civil rights cases, including a situation involving a youth being bullied at school because of a perceived sexual orientation and another in which a cross burning occurred on the lawn of an African-American family. All of these cases have helped to strengthen his role in the courtroom and heighten his empathy for such matters.

He serves in many different prominent roles for organizations including the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio, the Central Ohio Fair Housing Association and the Kaleidoscope Youth Center, Ohio’s only LGBTQ youth center.
