    Attorney Profile

Focusing his practice exclusively on family law, Christopher L. Trolinger is a senior associate at Petroff Law Offices, LLC. Located in Columbus, Ohio, he represents clients throughout the state. Admitted to practice before all Ohio state courts since 2008, Mr. Trolinger is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

A significant portion of Mr. Trolinger's practice involves his representation of people whose marriages are coming to an end and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues involving the division of complex assets and liabilities, child custody and visitation, and spousal and child support. A forceful courtroom advocate for his clients when litigation is necessary, he will often assist them in seeking a resolution to some of these matters through negotiations. In addition to his divorce practice, Mr. Trolinger helps people whose marriages have already been dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting and support court orders. He has also prepared and reviewed prenuptial and post-marital agreements, and he has received a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo in recognition of the high quality of his work in all of these areas.

Mr. Trolinger majored in philosophy at the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in 2005, and upon his graduation, he was inducted into The Phi Beta Kappa Society. He then went on to attend The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2008. After graduation, Mr. Trolinger spent several years at a firm where, in addition to family law, he gained experience in other types of civil litigation as well as criminal defense matters.
