Courtney Hanna

As the president/principal attorney at Joseph & Joseph & Hanna, based in Columbus, Ohio, Courtney Hanna provides comprehensive legal services to individuals and families throughout the region. Her practice is centered on family law and domestic relations, where she advises clients on matters such as divorce, dissolution, child custody and visitation, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also assists with adoption proceedings, real estate matters and civil litigation, offering a well-rounded approach to complex legal concerns.

Ms. Hanna is recognized for her thoughtful and client-focused representation in sensitive family law matters. She guides clients through emotionally charged disputes with a focus on achieving practical, long-term outcomes. Her work often involves navigating custody arrangements, negotiating settlements and addressing the legal and financial implications of marital dissolution. A passionate scholar, Ms. Hanna earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 2003. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2006. In that same year, she was admitted to practice law in Ohio. Active in the legal and local community, she is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, where she served as chairman of the Real Property Committee from 2019 to 2020. 

Ms. Hanna is also affiliated with the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation. Additionally, she serves as a board member for the March of Dimes and is involved with the Bexley Women’s Club, reflecting her commitment to professional leadership and community engagement.
