As a member of Bryant Legal, LLC, Daniel I. Bryant focuses his practice exclusively on employment law matters. With offices in Columbus and Toledo, Ohio he primarily represents current and/or former employees throughout Ohio and in matters across the country. Admitted to practice before all Ohio state courts, Mr. Bryant is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Sixth Circuit, the District Court for the District of Colorado, the Southern District of Indiana, the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, the American Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In addition, he is proud to have been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer, Rising Star for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, which is limited to the top 2.5% of the attorneys in this state. He was also selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America for 2024 in the practice area of Litigation – Labor and Employment.
Mr. Bryant focuses his practice exclusively in the area of employment law, where he represents employees in a variety of matters. A significant portion of his practice is centered on the representation of workers in collective/class actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state law. He has successfully helped recover unpaid wages on behalf of thousands of employees in matters involving the failure to pay overtime and/or minimum wage, employee misclassification, regular rate miscalculation, off-the-clock work, rounding issues, preparatory and concluding work, on-duty meal periods, and waiting and travel time.
He also represents current or former employees who have been unlawfully discriminated against in cases arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful terminations, and other forms of prohibited retaliation. In addition to appearing before federal and state courts, he regularly represents employees before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
He obtained a double major in politics and government and Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University ("OWU"), where he was also a member of the men's varsity soccer team that appeared in the NCAA semi-finals. As part of his double major, he studied at the prestigious La Universidad de Salamanca (Salamanca, Spain) before receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. Following undergraduate studies, he pursued his legal education at the University of Toledo College of Law. While there, he was a legal extern for Judge Thomas J. Osowik of the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals and clerked for an area law firm before completing his Juris Doctor in 2013.

- The total amount awarded was $207,660.88. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of a former employee who was owed unpaid overtime compensation. The jury also awarded her 100% liquidated damages, which doubled the amount recovered on behalf of my client.
