Details
David P. Meyer is the managing principal of Meyer Wilson Co., LPA, and the visionary behind the award-winning law firm.
With over two decades of experience as an investment fraud attorney, David has earned a national reputation for successfully representing individuals in securities cases in various arbitration forums, and state and federal courts across the country.
One of David’s earliest (and most notable) achievements was representing 200 retirees and winning a record-breaking $261 million class action jury verdict against Prudential Securities. David initiated the lawsuit at the age of 29 in 1999. Over a grueling seven-year legal battle, which included two appeals, he ensured that every retiree in the class action recovered 100% of their losses, along with their attorneys’ fees. Fighting for his clients in that case ignited a force in David, and he started his own law firm dedicated to representing investors who have claims of investment misconduct. Since then, David and our legal team have represented over 1,000 individual investors nationwide, resulting in multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. The firm has recovered more than $350 million for our clients.
David’s exceptional leadership and esteemed reputation have led to his election as the head of three prominent plaintiff bar associations. He was elected to serve as president of the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA), the national association of lawyers representing individual investors in investment fraud cases, as well as the Ohio Association for Justice, the State of Ohio’s trial lawyers’ bar.
David is a distinguished author, having penned the #1 Best-Seller, “The Investor Protector; Stories of Triumph Over Financial Advisors Who Lie, Cheat and Steal.” This compelling book serves as a cautionary guide for hard-working retirement savers, imparting invaluable insights from David’s extensive caseload spanning two decades. The book is available for purchase on Amazon, and its release earned David invitations as a guest speaker on numerous podcasts, where he shares his experiences and expertise as an investment fraud lawyer.
Renowned within the legal community nationwide, David consistently receives the highest accolades for his exceptional work. He was honored as the “Lawyer of the Year” in his practice area and location for 2023 by Best Lawyers®, and his exceptional abilities have been recognized by both “Best Lawyers” and “Super Lawyers” every year since 2011. Meyer Wilson was selected as a Tier 1 “Best Law Firm” by U.S. News for 2023, further solidifying the firm’s nationwide reputation for excellence.
Many of the clients David represents throughout the country are referred to him by their trusted advisors, including their family or business lawyers, accountants, or financial advisors. With a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes for clients nationwide, they know that David and our team will provide unparalleled representation and an excellent opportunity for recovering investment losses.
With David leading our team, clients can trust that their cases will be handled with the utmost professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to achieving justice.
