Graduating with a B.A. from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, Ms. Carpenter enrolled at the Capital University Law School to pursue her law degree. While there, she was chosen to be a member of the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Curia honor societies. She was also a part of the National Moot Court Team, the Environmental Moot Court Team and the National Mock Trial Team.
Earning her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2001, Ms. Carpenter gained her license the same year to practice law in Ohio. Later, she gained admissions before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 11th Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
Rated “Excellent” on Avvo. Ms. Carpenter is a creative problem solver who strives to find the most efficient solution for each case she handles. The Columbus Business First magazine has named her among the Forty Under 40 list, and she has been chosen to be on the Columbus CEO magazine’s Top Attorneys in Family Law. Moreover, she has been board-certified in family law by the Ohio Bar Association and elected to be custody guardian ad litem and a parenting coordinator by the Ohio Supreme Court.
Ms. Carpenter is a managing editor of EnVision Proven Success, which is a publication that aims to empower women. She also offers pro bono services via Second Saturday, a social service program that provides legal, financial and emotional counsel to people going through a divorce process.
