Tad Orval Hoover

A partner attorney at Hoover Kacyon, LLC, Tad Orval Hoover represents the people of Ohio in cases of criminal defense, including DWI, drug offenses, misdemeanors, felonies and traffic offenses. His practice also focuses on family law issues such as divorce, custody and alimony, along with personal injury cases such as premises liability, wrongful death, trucking accidents and motor vehicle accidents.

A strong believer in tradition and with an extensive legal heritage in the northeast Ohio legal community, Mr. Hoover is extremely comfortable with cases of domestic relations, such as foreign and out-of-state custody disputes, visitation matters and domestic custody, and high-asset divorces. While he has been successful at negotiating impressive settlements for his clients in the past, he is also prepared to protect their best interests by going to trial when necessary.

After attending Ohio University and earning a bachelor’s degree, he earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Hoover’s experience in criminal defense law extends to theft, felonious assaults, various weapons charges, OVI, domestic violence, traffic offenses and trafficking in narcotics. With a successful record of defending clients, he sets them up for a successful future by sealing records in cases that he was unable to get dismissed.

For the last decade, Mr. Hoover has also led a property management company owned by his family and handles eviction lawsuits and other property and real estate disputes. At the firm, he has worked extensively in landlord-tenant matters and currently leads the real estate practice group.
