He has authored numerous articles on topics related to his practice area that have appeared in publications such as Ohio Lawyer Magazine, the Dayton Business Journal and Sidebar, the quarterly newsletter of the Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association.

Majoring in diplomacy and international affairs, Mr. Cox attended Miami University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. After graduation, he served as the deputy director for governmental relations of the National Society of Professional Engineers until he decided to pursue a legal education at the University of Dayton School of Law. While he was there, Mr. Cox was the editor-in-chief of the University of Dayton Law Review and was the co-winner of the Walter H. Rice Moot Court Competition before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991.
