L. Fred Sommer, III

Fred and his team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants help people who have experienced the following injuries: work injuries, car accidents, dog attacks, slip and falls, and any other type of injury. Fred has handled Ohio worker's compensation hearings for nearly 25 years and has represented thousands of people over the years in Ohio BWC claims.

Fred graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1996, and from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1999, passing the Ohio Bar Exam in 1999. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Fred has been extremely successful in obtaining hundreds of millions in compensation and settlements for his clients who suffered needlessly as a result of someone else’s negligent or reckless actions. With extensive litigation experience, he has handled hundreds of court cases and thousands of hearings.

Active in his legal community, Fred is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Ohio Association for Justice. 

For his outstanding professionalism and successful track record, Fred has received many awards and honors. The Lawyers of Distinction recognized him for his excellence in the practice of law, and the American Institute of Trial Lawyers named him as a Litigator of the Year in 2021.
