During her time at Ohio State, she held several positions with the school's athletic and recreational sports departments, and after obtaining her Master of Arts, she spent a little more than one year working in the athletic department of the University of Cincinnati.

Ms. Suriano then enrolled at the University of Dayton School of Law. While she was there, she served an externship with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. After being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2009, Ms. Suriano spent several years as an assistant prosecutor with the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office in Columbus before eventually entering private practice.
