    Scholarly Lectures/Writings:

    • I was honored to speak at the first all-women trucking seminar where I spoke with some of the most highly-skilled female practiitioners in the country.  I developed and presented a CLE entitled "Truck Driver as a Plaintiff." In our law firm, I have helped develop a more streamlined intake process to take a more wholistic approach to actually making our clients whole.  Truck drivers are unique, because their cases often involve catastrophic injuries where the driver is injured on the job by another truck.  This requires reviewing worker's compensation options, disability options, personal injury trucking claims (which is a highly-skilled and complex subset of personal injury litigation), and employment options (many truck drivers are misclassified).  This process has been very successful in settling claims at the best time.  It is not always about the top offer, it is about when the offer is presented, the client's care in the long term, how much money the client will need to pay back in medical billing, subrogation, etc., and how the settlement can affect benefits., Presenter , OAJ Trucking Safety Seminar: The Truck Driver as Your Plaintiff, Insurance, Law, Trucking, Worker's Compensation, 2018
    • The "business of law" (i.e. marketing, IOLTA management, bookkeeping, client intake) and the "practice of law" are two very different things.  And without understanding the business of law, the question is not if your solo firm will fail, but when.  I have B.B.A. in Management/Economics, and a background in entrepreneurship.  I am also an equity partner at a law firm employing twenty people.  I presented an hour CLE on things to consider in making your own way.  It is now on video replay quarterly., Presenter , Ohio New Lawyer Training: Fundamental Law Office Management (on quarterly video replay), CLE, Law, 2018
    • Back by popular demand, I taught Personal Injury 101.  It was filmed and is replayed quarterly to new lawyers.  All of the content was created personally by me and includes practical tips on client intake, important insurance definitions, and ways to handle your case. , Presenter , New Lawyer Training (and on regular video replay): Personal Injury 101 CLE, CLE, Law, 2018
    • I regularly teach a personal injury 101 CLE for Ohio New Lawyer Training, Presenter, Ohio New Lawyer Training: Personal Injury 101, CLE, 2016
