Richard M. Lewis

The founder of The Law Firm of Richard M. Lewis, LLC, located in Jackson, Ohio, Richard M. Lewis focuses his practice primarily on personal injury, wrongful death, estate planning, and estates. He provides representation to clients throughout the southern part of the state who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties in cases involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, and when they need assistance with estate planning and estates. Mr. Lewis also assists clients with business matters, real estate, and family law

A 1979 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science, Mr. Lewis went on to earn his Juris Doctor at Capital University Law School in 1982. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

.Mr. Lewis has been an active participant in several legal organizations. He's a member of the board of trustees of the Ohio Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Lewis also served as the vice chairperson of the Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists created by the Supreme Court of Ohio. He was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association committee that developed the test that is given to attorneys who wish to become certified as specialists in insurance coverage law. He is board certified in Civil Trial Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
